How to Create Epic and Expressive Melodies with Heavyocity â AEON Melodic v1.2.0 (KONTAKT)
In this article, we will show you how to use AEON Melodic to create epic and expressive melodies for your music. We will cover the main features of the library, such as the Advanced Arpeggiator, the Trigger FX, the Punish and Twist knobs, and the AEON Hits. We will also give you some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of this library.
AEON Melodic is part of the AEON Collection, which also includes AEON Rhythmic, a library of loops and sequences that complement the melodic content. Both libraries run on the Kontakt platform and feature a sleek and intuitive interface that allows you to tweak and manipulate the sounds with ease.
The Advanced Arpeggiator
One of the highlights of AEON Melodic is the Advanced Arpeggiator, which lets you create complex and dynamic patterns with up to four different layers of sound. You can load one of the 5 factory presets, or save your own for use in any preset. You have full control over step amount and can adjust time signature, note subdivision (straight or triplet), individual note duration, pitch, and velocity.
To use the Advanced Arpeggiator, simply load an arpeggiated preset from the Organic Arp, Synth Arp, or Hybrid categories. You will see four tabs at the bottom of the interface: Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4. Each tab corresponds to a different layer of sound that you can customize independently. You can also mute or solo each layer by clicking on the M or S buttons.
On each tab, you will see a grid of 16 steps that represent the pattern of the arpeggiator. You can click on each step to activate or deactivate it, or drag up or down to change its pitch or velocity. You can also use the knobs on the right side to change the global parameters of each layer, such as Tune, Pan, Level, Filter Cutoff, Filter Resonance, Filter Envelope Amount, Filter Envelope Rate, Filter LFO Amount, Filter LFO Rate, Filter LFO Shape, and Filter LFO Sync.
On the top left corner of the interface, you will see a drop-down menu where you can select one of the 5 factory presets for the arpeggiator: Basic Up/Down, Basic Up/Down Octave Shifted, Basic Up/Down Randomized Velocity/Pitch Shifted Octave Shifted/Randomized Note Lengths/Randomized Note Offsets/Randomized Note Durations/Randomized Note Velocities/Randomized Note Pitches/Randomized Note Pans/Randomized Note Levels/Randomized Note Filters/Randomized Note Effects.
You can also save your own presets by clicking on the Save button next to the drop-down menu. You can name your preset and choose a category for it. You can then load your preset from any arpeggiated preset by clicking on the Load button next to the Save button.
The Trigger FX
Another standout feature of AEON Melodic is the Trigger FX, which allow you to add movement and modulation to the sounds by triggering different effects with your keyboard. You can choose from 12 different effects: Delay (DLY), Reverb (RVB), Chorus (CHR), Flanger (FLG), Phaser (PHS), Lo-Fi (LOF), Distortion (DST), Skreamer (SKR), Rotator (ROT), Tremolo (TRM), Transient Master (TRM), Compressor (CMP).
To use the Trigger FX, simply load any preset from AEON Melodic and click on 04f6b60f66
